Job summary

LRS Federal is seeking a high-caliber Electrical Professional Engineer with 15+ years of experience to join our corporate engineering team. This remote-friendly role requires hands-on electrical design work for federal facilities, including DoD, DOE, and civil federal agencies.

Qualifications

Active PE license in electrical engineering with reciprocity.
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive federal/DoD infrastructure experience.
Proven hands-on experience performing physical electrical design work (calculations, diagrams, layouts, specs).
Deep knowledge of UFC, NEC, NFPA standards and federal sustainable design mandates.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, analysis and QA/QC of electrical packages for federal facilities (DoD/DOE).
Perform short-circuit, overcurrent device coordination, arc flash studies and voltage drop calculations.
Act as the electrical technical authority on DB/DBB proposals and contracts.
Provide rigorous QA/QC reviews and mentor junior electrical designers.
Interface with DoD engineering components during design reviews.
