Henderson Engineers is seeking a Designer III to design basic to advanced building systems and coordinate with project teams. You will mentor less experienced designers, review drawings, and support project management tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) required.
• 6 years of relevant experience or 8 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• FE exam preferred.
• Additional certifications/accreditations (LEED, CPD, CDP, NICET, RCDD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs drafting and design of basic to advanced building systems with a high degree of independence.
• Prepares system layouts, drawings and schematics; reviews shop drawings for conformance.
• Provides technical guidance and may mentor less experienced designers; may supervise others.
• Supports business development by maintaining relationships with partners and clients.
• Ensures clear communication with clients throughout the project cycle; visits job sites as needed.
• Pursues continuous learning, keeps up with industry software (Revit, Bluebeam Revu, MS Office).
• Performs limited project management tasks under supervision; coordinates scope and schedule as needed.
