Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Engineering Design Specialist 5 to contribute to design and construction projects impacting communities and critical infrastructure. You will work on power distribution, master plans, and research and modeling for various facilities.

You will collaborate across teams, perform electrical calculations, and support proposals while mentoring junior staff to foster growth within the discipline and the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years related experience preferred.
• Experience designing electrical power systems for complex facilities.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex electrical master plans and power distribution systems.
• Perform studies and calculations for power distribution, lighting, and other systems.
• Incorporate revisions and redlines into project drawings and docs.
• Support sales proposals and ensure compliance with firm standards.
