Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Coshocton Works in Ohio is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Controls Specialist to oversee and upgrade plant electrical systems in a 24/7 operation. The role emphasizes hands-on programming, debugging, and rapid problem solving to minimize downtime.

The position requires troubleshooting electrical control systems, an associate degree in a technical field (bachelor’s preferred), and willingness to work around the clock.

Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting electrical control systems.
• Willing to work for a 24/7 operation.
• Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical or engineering field, or equivalent experience working with electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with programming enhancements on the plant’s electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist in debugging the plant’s electrical systems.
• Work to determine the root cause of electrical failures and develop/implement solutions to stop the recurrence
• Plan electrical equipment outages and upgrades.
• Assist maintenance service providers and contractors during these plans
• Conduct training for technicians on current and future electrical systems installed at the plant
• Other duties as assigned
