Job summary
Cleveland-Cliffs' Coshocton Works in East Central Ohio is seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Specialist to manage and upgrade electrical systems in a 24/7 operation. The role emphasizes hands-on work, system upgrades, and proactive diagnostics to prevent failures.
Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates outside the local area. This is a detailed, hands-on leadership position with ongoing development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical control systems.
- Willing to work for a 24/7 operation.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical or engineering field, or equivalent experience working with electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with programming enhancements on the plant’s electrical systems in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in debugging the plant’s electrical systems. Work to determine the root cause of electrical failures and develop/implement solutions to stop the recurrence.
- Plan electrical equipment outages and upgrades. Assist maintenance service providers and contractors during these plans.
- Conduct training for technicians on current and future electrical systems installed at the plant.
- Other duties as assigned.
