Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design and implement control and automation strategies for MWIS projects. You will work with Mechanical Engineering to deliver comprehensive control narratives, PLC programs, and electrical schematics, including single-line diagrams and panel layouts.

Required are a BE/BSc in engineering and 5 years’ experience in industrial water treatment, plus proficiency with AB, GE, Siemens, and related HMIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field.
• 5 years of experience in industrial water treatment system design.
• Proficiency with control platforms and HMIs (Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, Wonderware, Siemens).
• Familiarity with NEC and UL508A.
• Experience with P&ID, I/O lists, network architecture, and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel 25% and reside near a major airport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare P&ID diagrams and review process/Instrumentation documents.
• Design complete control logic and sequences for plant operation.
• Develop electrical design, single-line diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Create PLC and HMI programs from project baselines.
• Assist commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support budget, scope, and scheduling; report risks.
