Job summary

Mytra in Brisbane, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Industrial Controls Engineer to own the electrical system from architecture to production for robotic factory automation. You will design control panels, develop schematics, select PLCs and I/O, integrate motors and safety systems, and work across mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to bring prototypes into production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years designing electrical systems for industrial automation, robotics or complex electromechanical products.
Strong experience with control panels and electrical schematics.
Experience with PLC-based control systems and industrial I/O architectures.
Experience selecting and integrating motor drives, servo systems and power supplies.
Hands-on experience bringing up automated machinery or robotic systems.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical architecture and design of automated systems within the pallet structural system.
Design industrial electrical control panels, including power distribution, controls, I/O, safety, and interfaces.
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and BOMs.
Work with safety engineers to support industrial functional safety controls.
Develop PLC and machine-control architectures and interfaces between electrical, firmware, and mechanical systems.
Prototype, bring up, troubleshoot, and deploy control panels and electrical systems.
