Job summary

Mytra Robotics in Brisbane, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to design and own the electrical control systems for our robotic factory automation platform. You will lead from architecture through production, delivering robust, production-ready panels, schematics, and integration.

Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, controls, safety, manufacturing, and test teams to move prototypes into scalable systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years designing electrical systems for industrial automation or robotics.
Strong experience with control panels and electrical schematics.
Experience with PLC-based control systems and industrial I/O.
Experience selecting motor drives, servo systems, power supplies, and safety components.
Hands-on experience bringing up and debugging automated machinery.
Experience with electrical CAD tools and producing electrical documentation.
Knowledge of AC/DC distribution, 24VDC control, grounding and safety.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical architecture and design of automated systems.
Design industrial control panels with power distribution and I/O.
Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, manufacturing docs.
Collaborate on safety controls with safety engineers.
Select PLCs, remote I/O, drives, power supplies, relays, sensors.
Develop machine-control architectures linking electrical, firmware, and mechanics.
Design and integrate motors, encoders, sensors, and safety devices.
Prototype, bring up, troubleshoot, and support commissioning.
Work with technicians and suppliers to transition designs to production.
