Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Systems Engineer to develop PLC programs for complex control systems.

You’ll work with Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and other platforms to design, test, and commission systems for specialized manufacturing environments. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field and a strong ability to collaborate across teams while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology required, plus relevant technical content.
• Moderate knowledge of PLC/HMI and controls programming across brands.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs for complex control systems.
• Review design and functional specifications and create test plans.
• Commission motion-based control systems and troubleshoot software/hardware issues.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NFPA 79 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.
