Job summary
BWX Technologies, Inc. in Lynchburg, Virginia, seeks an Electrical Controls Systems Engineer to develop PLC programs for complex control systems using Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi platforms.
You will design specifications, test plans, commission motion-based controls, troubleshoot issues, and analyze plant processes for optimization while ensuring NFPA 70E/79 and OSHA standards are met. U.S. citizenship and DOE clearance are required.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 7+ years of experience.
- PLC, HMI and controls programming experience with major platforms.
- Motion-based programming experience with Rockwell/Allen Bradley.
Responsibilities
- Develop design and functional specifications.
- Develop test plans and commission complex motion-based control systems.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and implement solutions.
- Analyze plant processes for improvement and optimization.
- Prepare schematics and procure instrumentation for equipment.
