Job summary
Sirius Staffing in Theodore, Alabama, is seeking an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer for a direct-hire, onsite role. You will support a highly automated industrial operation, maintaining, troubleshooting, programming, and improving electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems across the plant.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and plant automation, with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and continuous
Qualifications
- 7+ years of electrical/instrumentation/automation experience in industrial manufacturing.
- Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens PLC platforms.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation, HMIs, VFDs, and control loops.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve industrial control systems, PLCs, instrumentation, networks, and power distribution.
- Program, modify, troubleshoot, back up, and document PLC and HMI systems.
- Maintain, update, back up, and troubleshoot operator interface equipment.
- Diagnose PLC logic, field I/O, instrumentation, electrical, and process-control issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs; support DCS/PLC/HMI integration.
- Read PFDs, P&IDs, drawings, manuals; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
