Job summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing team in Tulsa, OK. This role will lead electrical design efforts on major projects, develop drawings, and coordinate with clients and project teams.

With at least 12 years of experience, candidates will work on power distribution, motor control, PLC/PAC, and instrumentation while ensuring codes compliance and delivering on schedule. Travel to client sites is required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college is required.
• PE License required.
• US Citizenship required for client projects.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil and gas or other industrial process industries.
• Experience developing one-line drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc.

Responsibilities

• May serve as project lead on a major project and/or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
• Develop electrical design documents and drawings.
• Analyze and approve the work of others; monitor the work performed by the team.
• Conceptual and detailed design of low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/PAC, HMIs, process equipment and instrumentation.
• Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors and others.
• Lead project meetings and make presentations.
