Mission

Reporting to the Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Manager, the Senior ECI Engineer’s responsibility will span concept to customer commissioning and field trials, ensuring on-time delivery, within strategic operational budget and to specification. Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders, team leaders, project managers, manufacturing, service, and customer representatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Work at the core of our engineering and product development teams using engineering tools and methods to deliver products that meet Requirements, Standards, and are cost effective.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure clarity of work packages, deliverables, and resolve ECI engineering issues.
• Be accountable for the technical elements of the product system and/or subsystem design, identifying risks and escalations when necessary.
• Ensure modularity and standardisation to maximise reuse of our engineering effort.
• Be accountable for safety and type testing of any system or subsystem, verifying and validating compliance.
• Contribute ECI plans in the overall project planning process, prioritizing own work and monitoring progress.
• Contribute to the development and continual improvement of controls engineering processes.
• Provide technical content for manuals, build notes, and service instructions.
• Perform tests and provide expert level support to factory and field issues.

Experience & Skills

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

• HND (or equivalent) or degree in a relevant technical discipline (Essential)
• Minimum of 5 years working in controls and software within relevant industries (Essential)

Experience

• Substantial experience in product design and development in electrical controls and instrumentation including:
• Essential - PLC programming, HMI programming, technical documentation, understanding of P&I Diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Strong experience in a regulated, compliance-driven industry such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment (essential).

Skills
