DCS Engineer (Remote)

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DCS Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing the implementation and maintenance of Emerson's DeltaV automation system within our life science manufacturing and research environments.

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until May 29th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $95,000 to $109,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Experience with DeltaV: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining DeltaV systems.
2. Industry Knowledge: Experience in the life science industry (pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology).
3. Automation Knowledge: Strong understanding of automation principles, including DCS, PLCs, and other automation technologies.
4. Validation and Compliance: Knowledge of relevant validation and compliance standards (e.g., cGMP, GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11).
5. Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
6. Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
7. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
8. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the DeltaV system, addressing issues and ensuring optimal performance.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, IT, quality) to integrate DeltaV into the manufacturing or research process.
10. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the DeltaV system and related processes.
11. Training: Train operators and engineers on the DeltaV system.
