Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial and industrial electrical projects.

The role will supervise 50+ personnel and report to the Operations Manager, coordinating with owners, engineers, and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has at least four years of field supervision experience, an electrical apprenticeship, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, holder of GED, or equivalent studies/experience.
• Four or more years of field supervision/management experience.
• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and oversee multiple projects and field staff.
• Lay out project work and schedule materials, tools, and equipment to meet scope and budgets.
• Manage assigned construction projects and trade contractors to meet schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Review project documents and plans, coordinate field installations, and manage close-outs.
• Develop and maintain customer/client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel as directed.
• Collaborate with internal staff (HR, Estimating, Accounting, Finance) and external stakeholders.
