Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. seeks a General Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial and industrial electrical projects. You will supervise 50+ personnel, plan work sequences, manage field crews, and coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers.

Responsibilities include on-site supervision, scheduling materials, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion within budget, and conducting performance evaluations while reporting to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, holder of GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Four or more years of field supervision/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and oversee multiple projects, including on-site supervision of field supervisors, lead persons, crew leaders, journeypersons, apprentices, and helpers.
• Lay out project work and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are scheduled to meet scope, budget, and project schedules.
• Manage assigned construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel to ensure completion within budget, time, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Review project documents, plans, and specifications; direct construction activities and coordinate field installations.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Estimating, Accounting, Finance) and interact with owners, architects, engineers, and vendors.
