Job summary

The Superior Group in Detroit, Michigan is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to drive electrical construction projects from initiation to completion. This role reports to the Project Executive and is based on a jobsite in Detroit, MI with a compensation range of $135,000–$175,000 per year.

We offer relocation assistance for mid- and senior-level candidates and a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Strong leadership, budgeting, and safety management are essential to success.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Degree or certificate in construction management or related field preferred.
• Experience with design-build, hard bid and negotiated projects around $50M+.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams with clear guidance to vendors, clients, and executives.
• Manage project risk, escalate issues quickly to leadership.
• Maintain client trust through proactive communication and collaboration.
• Oversee project finances: billings, setup, cost control, change orders, cost-to-complete.
• Ensure full compliance with project schedule from kickoff to closeout.
• Chair project meetings with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure materials availability.
• Own contract scope and negotiate changes as needed.
• Maintain a high level of safety on the jobsite.
