Job summary

The Superior Group seeks a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support on-site electrical construction projects in Detroit, Michigan. You will assist in contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration, reporting to the Project Manager, and coordinating with foremen and vendors.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of field experience or a related degree, plus OSHA certification.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of field or project experience on a commercial construction site (including internships).
Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Degree or certificate in construction-related fields as specified.

Responsibilities

Manage the creation and submission of RFI’s and ensure they are integrated into project documentation.
Coordinate with vendors on the lifecycle of the project submittal process.
Support the creation, submission, and management of change orders.
Capture progress of work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite.
Monitor the project schedule and provide updates to leadership.
Work with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builts, and attic stock.
Develop understanding of project finance with Operations and Finance leadership.
