Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a Detroit, Michigan project. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager and leads site-based construction activities, coordinating with the Superintendent and Foremen to deliver on time and within budget.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and procurements while maintaining safety standards on site. A strong background in commercial construction and excellent communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of project operations/project management experience in commercial construction or equivalent field operations management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management or related field preferred; Construction Management certificate or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M to $50M is a bonus.
• Proficiency with construction management software is highly valued.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mitigate and manage project risk; elevate concerns and solutions to leadership.
• Create and manage the full project schedule from kickoff to closeout.
• Manage all project finance requirements including billings, cost control, changes, and final cost to complete.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and collaboration.
• Lead project meetings with customers and coordinate across departments to ensure materials are available.
• Guide team members with clear communication and direction; negotiate changes as needed.
• Review estimates, drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure project alignment.
• Oversee timely completion of closeout procedures and uphold site safety.
