Job summary

ASML is seeking a Senior Electronics Connectivity Design Engineer in San Diego, CA. You will lead electrical connectivity architectures across PCBAs, cables, and interconnects for high-reliability lithography systems, ensuring EMC, signal integrity, safety, and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with system architects, software and mechanical engineers, and suppliers to define requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and guide implementation throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years experience in electronic hardware development.
• Experience designing PCBAs and electronic modules for demanding applications.
• Experience with PCBA design, schematic capture and validation.
• Hands-on EMC/EMI design techniques and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a submodule's electrical connectivity architectures (PCBAs, cables, harnesses, racks).
• Define module specifications and maintain hardware requirements and validation plans.
• Maintain Cable Overview and Detailed Wiring diagrams.
• Design, review and qualify PCBAs for control and communication.
• Drive EMC/EMI compliance across the lifecycle and lead design reviews.
• Define design rules for signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and EMC performance.
• Support schematic capture, component selection, and design verification.
• Lead troubleshooting and failure analysis at board, module and system levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver robust electronics.
