Job summary

Five Star Electric Corporation seeks a Sr. Electrical BIM Engineer for its Ozone Park, NY office.

You will lead electrical design and BIM coordination across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects, develop detailed Revit models, and manage coordination with field teams and clients. You will review NEC/NFPA compliance, perform electrical calculations, and guide the project from concept through construction, ensuring accuracy and constructability.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of electrical engineering experience in construction/design-build industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit for electrical modeling and multi-discipline coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred).
• Experience with electrical contracting environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Bluebeam, BIM 360/ACC, & Procore.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for commercial, industrial, institutional, or mission-critical projects.
• Develop and manage detailed electrical models/drawings in Revit (power, lighting, grounding, comms, fire alarm).
• Review specifications, drawings, codes (NEC, NFPA), and client standards.
• Perform load, fault current, voltage drop, and arc flash studies.
• Coordinate with architects, structural/mechanical engineers, and field teams.
• Oversee engineering deliverables from concept to closeout; manage schedules and submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and BIM designers; enforce BIM standards.
