Job summary

Five Star Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, in Ozone Park, New York, seeks a Sr. Electrical BIM Engineer to lead electrical design and BIM coordination for commercial and industrial projects.

You will develop models in Revit, perform load calculations, coordinate with architects and MEP trades, and guide junior staff through BIM workflows while ensuring NEC compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years of electrical engineering experience in construction or design/build.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit for electrical modeling and multi-discipline coordination.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical codes.
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and specifications independently.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and BIM modeling for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Develop and manage electrical Revit models including layouts and equipment.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP trades, and field teams.
• Lead design meetings, clash detection, and reviews; support project managers.
• Review shop drawings and field changes; ensure design compliance and QA.
