Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Utilities Industry Managing Business Advisor in Atlanta to serve as the domain authority on electric power generation, transmission, and distribution engagements. You will embed with client teams, translate sector knowledge into business outcomes and drive transformation across grid modernization programs.

You will lead workshops, advise on AMI 2.0, DERMS, and OT/IT alignment, and collaborate with Capgemini delivery teams to deliver measurable results for U.S.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience within or supporting the electric power industry.
• Deep knowledge of Smart Grid and grid modernization.
• Experience with utility technologies including AMI 2.0, ADMS, SCADA, DMS, OMS, EMS, DERMS.
• Strong understanding of transmission, generation, and distribution operations.
• Knowledge of the U.S. utility regulatory environment, including FERC, NERC CIP, state PUC requirements, and integrated resource planning.
• Proven consulting/client-facing experience as an industry SME, business analyst, product owner, or program manager.
• Ability to travel to U.S. client sites.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary industry subject matter expert on electric utility client engagements across generation, transmission, and distribution.
• May be deployed as a utilities SME in client-site operations engagements spanning Smart Metering and Data Management, Supply Chain, and Meter-to-Cash and Collections.
• Provide advisory and implementation support for AMI 2.0 programs, including smart meter strategy and data analytics.
• Guide clients through ADMS, OMS, and DMS implementations, bridging OT with IT delivery.
• Advise on DERMS strategies including distributed solar, storage, EV charging, DR, and VPP orchestration.
• Support EMS, SCADA, energy market participation, and ISO/RTO operations.
• Translate complex utility processes into clear requirements for delivery teams.
• Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, and roadmaps grounded in electric power realities.
• Build relationships with VP and C-suite executives, bridging business priorities and tech execution.
• Lead regulatory strategy sessions and steering committee presentations.
