Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Propulsion Engineer II to support BE-3U engine hardware design, analysis, and testing. You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to develop test plans, perform analyses, and contribute to data reviews. Travel to on-site testing may be required, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

The role requires a B.S. in aerospace/mechanical engineering or physics and 2+ years in propulsion.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in aerospace/mechanical eng or physics is required.
  • 2+ years propulsion design, analysis or test experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluids, heat transfer, structures.
  • Python data analysis scripting experience.
  • Knowledge of propulsion components and cryogenic fluids.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and document results.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site testing.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible for work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to develop test plans.
  • Support design, analysis, and testing of BE-3U engine hardware.
  • Analyze test data and generate reports for reviews.
  • Support test readiness reviews and cadence improvements.
  • Assist anomaly investigations and root-cause analysis.
