Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking an In‑Shop Technician who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in craftsmanship. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild rotating equipment, measuring performance and ensuring precision during every step.

Safety and continuous improvement are emphasized in a collaborative shop environment. Responsibilities include disassembly, repair, assembly, and preparation for shipment of units, with attention to motors, fans, pumps, and gearboxes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in an electric motor repair shop servicing large AC, DC, and synchronous motors.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Strong capability to diagnose and repair industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational and safety procedures.
• Excellent technical and mechanical skills.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipment.
• Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating apparatus repairs such as electric motors, pumps, and fans.
• Measure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters.
• Use multimeters, meggers, Baker instruments to measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and mechanical fits and clearances.
• Participate in daily operation discussions on customer products.
