Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking an Elasticsearch Engineer to design, deploy and optimize Elastic Stack solutions for federal environments, including cloud, on-prem and hybrid. You will lead migrations, build data pipelines with Elastic Agent, Logstash and Beats, and deliver security-compliant deployments leveraging TLS, SSO/SAML and STIG controls.

You will translate complex requirements into actionable tasks, communicate trade-offs to clients, and contribute to reusable templates and automation.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.
• 2+ years of production Elastic Stack experience.
• 6+ years in systems engineering or infrastructure with Elastic expertise.
• Experience with federal security controls (TLS, SSO/SAML, PIV/CAC, STIG).
• Proven ability to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and IaC tooling.
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy and tune Elastic Stack solutions across cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments.
• Migrate legacy security platforms and translate SPL → ES/QL.
• Design data ingestion pipelines using Elastic Agent, Fleet, Logstash and Beats.
• Harden deployments for federal compliance (TLS, PIV/CAC, SSO/SAML, STIG, audit logging).
• Build outcome-driven dashboards and Kibana visualizations.
• Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform or equivalent.
• Communicate technical decisions to client stakeholders.
• Contribute to internal IP and reference architectures.

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
