Job summary

Level.me is seeking a Senior ELA Learning Designer to craft engaging pedagogy, practice exercises, and assessments for grades 3–6. You will blend classroom expertise with digital product thinking to evolve the Guide into a scalable, standards-aligned ELA experience.

Responsibilities include defining pedagogy, sequencing lessons, applying the science of reading, and collaborating with designers, behavioral scientists, and engineers to integrate motivation and AI-assisted workflows into content

Qualifications

• 5+ years of classroom teaching in grades 3–6 ELA
• Experience on an edtech or digital content product team
• Strong instructional design background with lessons, sequences, and assessments for digital environments
• Deep knowledge of literacy development and the science of reading

Responsibilities

• Define pedagogy, write lessons and practice exercises, and craft assessments for grades 3–6 ELA
• Sequence lessons to align with cognitive development and learning progressions
• Anticipate common mistakes and build corrective pathways
• Apply science of reading to ensure content is evidence-based and standards-aligned
• Collaborate with designers, technologists, and product teams to bring the Guide to life
• Integrate motivational principles into content design
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate instructional intent into scalable digital experiences
