Job summary

ERM in Seattle, WA is seeking a Principal Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to lead transformative safety initiatives for tech, biopharma, and manufacturing clients. You will drive compliance, mentor consultants, and shape strategically important EHS programs across diverse sites.

You will develop risk-based safety plans, perform JHAs, audits, and incident investigations, and build trusted relationships with senior client leaders while delivering measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry.
• 6+ years of EHS experience in tech, biopharma, manufacturing or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Washington, Oregon, and federal EHS regulations.
• Ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA requirements and hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve innovative safety programs for local and global clients.
• Conduct audits, Job Hazard Analyses, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
• Support client safety performance through training, coaching, and safety committees.
• Analyze EHS data and deliver insights to reduce hazards and improve compliance.
• Build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
