Job summary

Scout Motors in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Specialist, Environment, Health & Safety to lead planning, coordination, and execution of EHS initiatives supporting its expansion of vehicle sales and service locations. You will drive compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across the enterprise, partnering with Commercial Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities and HR.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental science, engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in EHS.
Strong project and program management skills.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, coordination, and execution of EHS initiatives across Scout Motors’ expansion.
Coordinate with Commercial Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities, Legal, HR and external partners.
Ensure EHS requirements are integrated into site selection, design, launch, and operation of facilities.
Drive cross-functional alignment on EHS topics and governance across the enterprise.
Develop and implement EHS procedures, training, and risk controls.
Own enterprise-level project plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
Lead audits, assessments, and performance reviews for continuous improvement.
Monitor KPIs and dashboards; drive corrective actions and program enhancements.
Travel domestically for site openings and events as needed.
Maintain detailed records of safety assessments, inspections, and actions.
