Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist at our Brooklyn Park, Minnesota site. You will develop and manage EHS programs, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and train staff to uphold safe and compliant operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, leading projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen safety practices and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field required.
• 3–7 years of EHS experience required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or petrochemical refining preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and EPA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs for safe, compliant operations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Investigate injuries and incidents; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training and guide employees on safety and environmental duties.
• Maintain EHS records, audit findings, and compliance documentation.
• Manage EHS projects independently, meeting objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with site stakeholders to close compliance gaps.
• Apply environmental science and occupational hygiene to assess risk.
• Coach colleagues and review work to promote consistent EHS practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety and environmental performance.
