Jabil in Byhalia, MS is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to establish and maintain a safe, compliant work environment. You will develop safety policies, train employees, and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operations and engineering to optimize safety, perform risk assessments, and support product changes while maintaining safety records and programs.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of US-OSHA and EPA compliance requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to build relationships with site leaders and teams.
• Experience in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops general EHS policies and procedures compliant with regulations.
• Ensures OSHA, EPA, DOT compliance; manage reporting and permitting.
• Oversees hazardous waste management and environmental compliance.
• Consults with departments on equipment use, fire prevention, and permits.
• Partners with operations to complete risk assessments and safety programs.
• Supports manufacturing layout to promote a safe workspace.
• Participates in product changes and management of changes projects.
• May report safety issues to management and maintain safety records.
