Job summary

Sunlight Batteries USA in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at our lead-acid battery manufacturing facility. You will serve as a subject‑matter expert on OSHA, EPA, DOT and related requirements, conducting audits, JHAs, risk assessments, and incident investigations to reduce risk and improve performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA requirements and incident investigation experience.
Experience delivering technical safety training and coaching leadership.
Proven ability to drive corrective actions and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs across the facility.
Conduct audits, JHAs, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections.
Lead investigations into injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents; implement CAPAs.
Develop and deliver training on hazard communication, LOTO, respiratory protection, PPE, and chemical safety.
Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven safety improvements; support regulatory reporting.
