Job summary

Apex Companies, an EHS consulting leader, is seeking an experienced Occupational Safety Professional to lead safety projects at client sites. You will perform shop-floor assessments, evaluate corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in safety programs across industries.

The role emphasizes strong technical knowledge in OSHA standards, program management, and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science/engineering preferred.
• 7+ years in occupational safety/accident prevention.
• ASP or CSP accreditation preferred but not required.
• Active Secret clearance preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in manufacturing/assembly, aerospace/defense, or automotive sectors a plus.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety program management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational safety consulting to clients.
• Perform shop floor observations to assess employee injury exposure.
• Devise solutions to mitigate injury exposures and assist with implementation.
• Monitor effectiveness of safety interventions and track injury data trends.
• Lead and manage safety projects in collaboration with client stakeholders.
• Prepare and present safety plans and reports to customers.
