Job summary

Apex Companies, a leading EHS consulting firm, is hiring an Occupational Safety Professional to lead on-site safety projects and drive injury-prevention initiatives. You will perform shop-floor assessments, rank risks, and design practical solutions with mid-sized teams and client stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold a science or engineering degree, 3+ years in occupational safety, and a readiness to obtain required security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in occupational safety/accident prevention.
• ASP or CSP accreditation is desirable but not required.
• Active Secret clearance highly preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in manufacturing and heavy industry is a plus; aerospace/defense or automotive experience is a further plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct shop floor observations to identify, assess, and rank injury exposures.
• Develop and implement options to mitigate injury risks.
• Assist clients with hands-on implementation of chosen solutions.
• Monitor effectiveness and long-term performance of safety measures.
• Analyze injury data for trends and high-leverage prevention activities.
• Coordinate industrial safety projects with project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with customers to design and execute service plans and report progress.
• Advise customers on occupational safety matters and contribute to business development.
