Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking a proactive Occupational Safety Professional to lead safety projects on site, evaluating shop floor hazards, ranking risks, and implementing improvements with client collaboration.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in occupational safety, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while delivering measurable safety outcomes. A Secret clearance is preferred; positions offer bonus opportunities and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in occupational safety / employee accident prevention.
• Active Secret clearance highly preferred (or willing to obtain).
• Experience in manufacturing/ heavy industry, aerospace/defense or automotive a plus.
• Strong technical writing and data management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational safety consulting services to clients.
• Conduct shop floor observations focused on identifying, assessing and risk-ranking employee exposures to injury.
• Devising solution options to mitigate employee injury exposures.
• Providing hands-on assistance with implementation of chosen solutions.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of solutions implemented and tracking injury trends.
• Coordinate and execute industrial safety projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, implement and monitor service plans with the customer; report progress.
• Advise customer on occupational safety issues and contribute to business development.
