Job summary

Shirley Parsons is partnering with one of the country’s largest general contractors to add a Project EHS Director for a major expansion. The role will lead safety efforts, and mentor the project’s EH&S team to ensure top‑level performance.

You will develop a project‑specific EH&S strategy with measurable KPIs, supervise site EH&S functions, and promote collaboration across project teams. Standards must align with company policies and client priorities, and you will communicate plans to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety.
• Experience on multi‑billion dollar projects required; aviation projects a plus.
• A minimum of 10 years of safety experience within a construction environment, specifically with a general contractor.
• Proven experience leading and supervising a safety team.

Responsibilities

• Develop a project‑specific Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) strategy and operational roadmap that addresses high‑risk activities and includes defined, measurable KPIs and milestones.
• Supervise site EH&S functions and promote collaborative engagement among project teams to support informed safety decisions and improved performance.
• Ensure that standards are developed, aligned, and consistently applied in accordance with company policies, EH&S programs, and both project and client priorities.
• Convey the plan to project leaders and team members while engaging trade partners responsible for their scopes to support successful execution.
