Job summary

Accenture is seeking a seasoned Safety Manager to lead EHS planning and safety execution on large-scale data center and mission-critical projects. You will develop, review, and enforce OSHA-aligned safety plans and coordinate with contractors and owners to ensure compliance onsite.

With 10+ years in construction safety, you will guide risk assessments, conduct inspections and drive corrective actions, while leading safety meetings and training across a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in construction/safety management, preferably within a data center or mission critical facilities.
• 3+ years of senior level safety management or design management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and manage project-specific EHS Plans aligned with the Global Construction Safety Policy and OSHA regulations.
• Oversee prevention strategies and controls for high-risk activities (e.g., working at heights, electrical work, confined space).
• Ensure risk assessments (including HRAs) are conducted at all levels and integrated into schedules and planning.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and oversee HRA controls, documenting findings and corrective actions.
• Investigate and report incidents, injuries, and near-misses with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead weekly safety meetings, participate in safety committees, and foster a positive safety culture.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety management reports (incident summaries, audit results, improvement initiatives).
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and the Owner to clarify policies, verify compliance, and participate in meetings and job walks.
• Deliver safety orientation and ensure effective training communication for a diverse workforce, maintaining all training records.
• Certify and sign off on the project-specific EHS Plan's compliance alongside the Contractor Site Manager and Construction Manager.
• Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
• There is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities.
