Job summary

AbbVie seeks an experienced EHS professional to develop, implement and maintain environmental, health and safety programs ensuring regulatory and internal compliance and minimizing risk to operations and employees.

You will align the EHS strategy with the organization's mission, monitor regulatory requirements, develop training materials, lead cross‑functional teams, conduct incident investigations, and communicate trends and KPIs to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in EHS or Engineering with experience in implementing EHS regulations.
• Experience in incident investigations and interaction with regulatory agencies.
• Ability to establish measurable goals, balanced work demands, and action plans.

Responsibilities

• Align and integrate the EHS strategy with the organization’s mission, goals, and strategies.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and implement compliant programs.
• Track EHS trends and advise on input to the EHS long-range plan.
• Develop and deliver training materials to meet learner and business needs.
• Make timely, data-driven decisions and negotiate agreements.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen EHS and reduce risk.
• Assess EHS risks and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate compliance status and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams on EHS objectives.
