Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Consultant to lead process safety and EHS projects across FL offices including Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, and others.

The role emphasizes client development, regulatory compliance, and technical mentorship within a dynamic consulting team. The candidate will oversee hazard analyses, develop PSM programs, review PSI/PI&D documentation, and deliver clear, risk-based recommendations to executive leaders.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years (15+ preferred) in consulting, manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience with process safety management, regulatory requirements and related practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to train and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS services growth and client development for process safety and related projects.
• Deliver process safety projects for industries including oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
• Develop and implement PSM programs aligned with OSHA 1910.119 and EPA RMP requirements.
• Conduct hazard analyses (PHA/HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA) and perform audits and risk assessments.
• Review PSI, P&IDs, PFDs, and related documentation; ensure regulatory completeness.
• Provide technical leadership, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support fieldwork, travel up to 30% as needed.
