Job summary

Bunge in Gibson City, Illinois seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead EHS programs at the plant, promoting a safety-first culture and compliance with regulations. The role reports to the plant manager and focuses on preventing injuries, environmental incidents, and ensuring regulatory adherence.

You will implement and update standards, provide technical support to leadership, deliver training, and drive continuous improvement across safety, environmental permits, and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of safety and environmental experience.
• Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to lead EHS programs and improve SIF/HPE metrics.

Responsibilities

• Implement and update EHS standards to promote best-in-class programs.
• Provide technical EHS support to plant leadership and workforce.
• Coach employees to lead with safety and promote a safety-centric culture.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Support deployment of HOP philosophy and tooling.
• Monitor policies and permits for regulatory compliance.
• Conduct observations and audits to prevent incidents.
• Track injuries, near misses, and drive prevention actions.
• Promote environmental sustainability with corporate team.
• Coordinate fire protection, security, and emergency plans.
• Support PSM and RMP programs at locations with solvents and hazardous materials.
• Liaise with government agencies; lead local safety teams.
