Job summary

Bunge seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Leader for the Gibson City, Illinois plant. You will own the execution of EHS programs and plans to reinforce a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

You will report to the plant manager and drive continuous improvement across the site. Responsibilities include leading EHS standards, training, audits, incident investigations, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental/health science, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of safety and environmental experience.
• Proven track record improving SIF and High Potential Exposures (HPE).
• Strong EHS standards compliance experience.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other PC software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement Bunge EHS standards and programs to drive Best-in-Class safety.
• Provide technical EHS support to plant leadership and workforce.
• Coach and develop employees on safety leadership.
• Implement EHS training for employees, contractors, visitors.
• Support HOP philosophy and tool deployment.
• Maintain EHS policies, permits, and regulations.
• Conduct observations and audits to prevent injuries and incidents.
• Track injuries, near-misses, and incidents; drive prevention.
• Promote environmental sustainability and coordinate with corporate team.
• Ensure fire protection and security systems; liaise with insurers.
• Manage emergency response plans for environmental or other events.
• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan.
• Liaise with government agencies on EHS matters.
• Lead and support local safety teams with corporate safety/env teams.
