Job summary

Empire Livestock LLC is seeking a seasoned EHS leader to oversee environmental health and safety across multiple facilities in Frederick, MD and Cumberland, NJ. The role combines site policy development, regulatory compliance, and program management with 50% travel between locations.

You will implement OSHA/EPA/DOT programs, conduct root-cause analyses, lead training, and coordinate audits while partnering with site leadership to drive safe behaviors and continuous improvement in safety

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in industrial safety/environmental sciences or related field
• 5+ years of progressive work experience in safety and regulatory administration, preferably in a manufacturing or transportation environment
• Certification and/or License – CPR/First Aid Certified; OSHA certifications and Certified Safety Professional preferred; other certifications may be required during course of employment
• Must be able to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical, functional, and program management activities across a division or multi-location unit
• Oversee OSHA EPA DOT compliance and maintain records
• Perform audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
• Lead incident investigations and safety coaching across locations
• Develop, deliver, and facilitate EHS training programs for staff
• Coordinate regulatory audits and customer inspections while traveling extensively
