Job summary

Nidec Corporation seeks an experienced Safety & Environment Specialist to develop and manage comprehensive plant-wide safety and environmental programs. You will lead training, monitor compliance, and oversee reporting to regulators.

Ideal candidates have OSHA expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with HR and management to minimize risk and injuries across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety and Environmental preferred, or manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Experience designing and implementing safety/environmental programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan and manage plant-wide safety and environmental programs.
• Lead safety training for managers and employees (fire protection, lockout/tagout).
• Inspect facilities to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare required OSHA and regulatory reports and maintain records.
• Coordinate workers' compensation administration with HR and regulatory bodies.
