Job summary

Full Circle Recruiting seeks a Plant Safety & Environmental Systems Leader to provide technical safety, health, and environmental compliance support for a manufacturing plant. The role develops safety programs, coordinates training, and monitors regulatory requirements across federal and state levels.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED with 5+ years in a wood products setting, and preferably an associate’s or BS in industrial safety or environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 5 years of experience, preferably in a wood products manufacturing environment.
• An associate’s or BS degree in industrial safety and compliance, and environmental compliance or similar is desired.
• An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety, health, and environmental compliance support to personnel.
• Prepares written safety and health programs and policies.
• Identifies safety training needs and develops and coordinates safety training programs.
• Participates in process reviews and safety-related activities, and supports policy implementation.
• Identifies opportunities for engineering controls to minimize hazards and ensure compliance.
• Maintains Safety Systems and conducts on-ground observations for continuous improvement.
• Supports plant leadership and serves as a training resource for safety leadership.
• Manages Safety and Environmental recordkeeping and reporting to regulatory bodies and internal teams.
• Builds and improves Safety Systems and drives results through leadership by example.
