Job summary

Lightera, a long‑standing American optics leader, seeks an EHS Manager to join the site’s senior management and drive health, safety, and environmental stewardship across all operations.

You will provide strategic leadership, develop and implement EHS programs, lead incident investigations, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance to embed process safety into daily decisions.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline is required.
• MS in a related discipline is preferred.
• CSP / CHMM / CIH certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the EHS team and foster proactive safety culture.
• Partner with site leadership to develop and implement EHS strategies.
• Champion engagement and accountability around EHS policies and initiatives.
• Lead permitting, reporting, auditing, and regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance to integrate process safety.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near misses with root cause analysis.
• Continuously improve safety programs and processes.
