Amentum in McLean, VA is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety and environmental programs on a national security mission. You will identify hazards, conduct investigations, and develop policies to protect people and the environment while supporting sustainability initiatives.

The role requires a CIH/CSP/QEP certification and 10+ years of experience managing large, complex safety programs. You will partner with operations to ensure OSHA, EPA and customer compliance and deliver

Qualifications

• 10 years' experience managing large, complex safety programs.
• Professional Certification in Industrial Hygiene, Safety or Environmental Sciences (CIH, CSP, or QEP).

Responsibilities

• Identify and eliminate EHS hazards and risks and reduce related costs.
• Review and update internal safety policies and practices; ensure currency.
• Conduct accident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement policies to mitigate hazardous conditions.
• Perform hazard and risk assessments; recommend policy updates.
• Deliver EHS training on OSHA, EPA, and customer requirements.
• Prepare written EHS reports and share updates with management.
