Job summary

Amentum seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for multiple CONUS/OCONUS locations contingent upon award. The EHS Manager leads and manages all aspects of environmental safety and health initiatives for the duration of the program, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and standards while promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in occupational safety and health, fire protection engineering, or environmental compliance and restoration management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related discipline is required.
• Credential in the area of expertise (e.g., PE, CSP, CIH, or equivalent) is required.
• SECRET clearance at start and up to TS clearance within eight months of contract award.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental safety and health programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure safety and health standards are met.
• Lead investigations of incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Provide expert guidance to management and employees on safety and health issues.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to enhance awareness and competency.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and promote best practices.
• Monitor safety and health performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and manage budgets related to safety and health programs.
