Job summary

IAP World Services seeks an Environmental, Safety & Health Manager to lead ESH training, programs, and processes with a strong commitment to protecting the environment and maintaining productivity across our Virginia/Maryland facilities under a major Defense/Intelligence contract.

The role requires directing ESH budgets, staff, and compliance activities, developing site ESH plans, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and client requirements while promoting a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Management, Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 10 years of work-related experience or equivalent (14 years if no degree).
• CIH, CSP or QEP certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and train subordinates on ESH activities across large-scale/multi-projects; prepare budgets, staffing, schedules, and ESH documentation.
• Provide guidance on ESH practices to business lines and project teams per client requirements and regulations.
• Make decisions on engineering/scientific problems related to ESH using advanced techniques and practices.
• Lead implementation of ESH programs and site-based plans to balance productivity with safety; promote awareness and safe work environments.
• Perform gap analyses to align Company practices with client/regulatory requirements.
• Foster and maintain ESH standards and goals throughout programs.
• Adhere to Fluor's Environmental, Safety & Sustainability policies.
