Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Manager to develop and maintain comprehensive programs ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local levels. The role promotes proactive safety culture, reduces risk, and protects employees, contractors, and nearby communities while supporting project objectives.

You will lead an EHS team on construction sites, conduct audits and investigations, deliver training, and coordinate environmental and stormwater controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years leading EHS teams; construction experience preferred.
• Experience managing EHS staff and strong leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926, EPA, NFPA; ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS plans and procedures.
• Coach and develop EHS Specialist; manage workload of EHS team.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, EPA regulations, and local/state rules.
• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, near-miss reporting, root cause analyses, corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and enforce requirements.
• Coordinate environmental compliance activities (SWPPP, erosion control, waste handling).
• Maintain EHS records and serve as primary contact for regulatory inspections.
• Track safety metrics and report to leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality.
