Job summary

McShane Construction Company seeks a Safety Manager to champion environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance across construction projects. You will lead safety initiatives, develop site programs, and drive a culture of safety and collaboration.

The role requires directing EHS strategies, training site personnel, auditing safety practices, and coordinating with regulators. A strong background in construction safety and regulatory changes is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field is required.
• 3–5+ years of experience in construction safety.
• OSHA 30-hour training required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, owners, pros, and site/office staff.
• Leadership to direct field staff and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and operational support to each project team to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Monitor changes in federal, state, and local regulations and recommend actions.
• Implement EHS procedures, programs and systems at site level.
• Conduct and manage health and safety training of site personnel.
• Conduct and manage project safety audits for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain computerized EHS reporting processes.
• Coordinate with company levels to determine EHS solutions for daily issues.
• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions.
• Drive EHS culture change at the site.
